Women's Conference—a Great Success
Nearly 200 CUPE sisters from across Ontario helped make last weekend's Women's Committee conference a huge success.
Delegates from all regions embraced the conference theme of ‘Securing Economic Justice for Women' and owned it, developing concrete action plans on a number of important issues related to this year's conference theme.
“I've been inspired this weekend, by you, your energy, your level of engagements, and the ideas you have brought forward,” CUPE Ontario's Secretary-Treasurer Candace Rennick told sisters at the conference.
As well, participants elected a new Women's Committee to carry forward their important work in 2011.
