Rally for Respect - Take Action

With a federal election looming and a provincial election coming later this year, we need to show our support for increased quality of services, good jobs, and growth in our communities. Coming out to this rally on April 9th at Dundas Square in Toronto is the best way to show that you care about this city and your community. Join us and let Toronto city hall know: "We will not accept these cuts".
There are other actions you can take as well that can show your support for our communities. Some of these are outlined below:
Write your Toronto City Councillor.
Let your city councillor know that you want a city to be proud of, and not one that will cut services to the bone. You can enter your address to find out who your councillor is here.
------
Past Actions:
Send a message to your MPP to stop Bill 150.
This
bill would take away fundamental rights of TTC workers and does nothing
to help continuity of TTC service. Only 11 days in the last 20 years
have been lost to labour action of TTC employees, and this legislation
does not improve services in any way.
Join us for an Anti-Scab Rally on March 31st at Queen's Park.
In addition to the rally on April 9th, there is a rally on March 31st at noon at Queen's Park to implement proposed anti-scab legislation to prevent long strikes and lockouts of workers. This legislation has already been implemented in Quebec and British Columbia, and the result has been that labour disputes and been reduced in length and divisiveness. Come out and join us in supporting this legislation.
