|Thursday March 28th - Full-day public symposium on climate change issues
Dear CUPE members,
The Council of Canadians presents a full-day public symposium on climate change issues entitled ‘Climate Change Innovations by Way of Collaboration & Creativity’ to be held on March 28, 2009 at Aeolian Performing Arts Centre. This is a green powered event courtesy of Bullfrog Power.
To this end – we extend a personal invitation to you.
A symposium is defined as: a philosophical dialogue (4th century b.c.) [by Plato], dealing with ideal love and the vision of absolute beauty.’ The purpose of our symposium is to celebrate and embrace the beauty of our citizens, to discuss our desired and possible futures. To instill hope & inspire personal responsibility and action within us as individuals – individuals who can make a positive contribution and collectively be part of a global mobilization to redesign the way we think and live.
Climate change impacts all life on our finite planet. Working together, we can redesign our city to cultivate happy, healthy communities in ways that nourish our finite earth, our ecosystems, and each other.
