We Deliver Ontario’s Public Services

Health Care: 40,000 workers
CUPE Ontario represents hospital dietary, service and maintenance workers, registered practical nurses, engineers, clerical staff, and ambulance and paramedical personnel. Our members are also employed in nursing homes, municipal and charitable homes for the aged as well as in community care access centres and in agencies that deliver frontline community care. [more]

Municipal: 80,000 workers
CUPE Ontario represents 80,000 municipal employees. These workers maintain roads, operate water and sewage plants, perform clerical and technical duties, install and repair traffic lights, deliver social services, maintain our parks, pick up garbage and keep our streets clean. [more]

School Board: 45,000 workers
CUPE Ontario represents 45,000 members in Ontario’s schools and board offices, including education assistants, administrative assistants, custodians and stationary engineers, bus drivers, cafeteria employees, ESL and literacy instructors, community advisory and clerical staff. [more]

Social Services:  25,000 workers

University: 20,000 workers
