Women's Committee
CUPE Ontario Women's Committee:
CUPE's Women's Committee promotes women's equality within the union, raises awareness of women's issues and fosters opportunity and advancement for women in the union. Issues such as sexual harassment and discrimination, violence against women, pay equity and employment equity are foremost in the work of this committee.
The Committee consists of two positions chosen at provincial convention, one appointed from the Ontario Division Executive Board and regional representatives appointed through CUPE District Councils across the province.

Women's Flyers & Events for the 2011 Ontario Provincial Elections:
The CUPE Ontario Women's Committee participated in and promoted many events for the 2011 Ontario Provincial Elections. From women's breakfasts to canvasses across the province - women in CUPE Ontario have made their voices heard in this election, leading to a breakthrough of 17 seats for the Ontario NDP.

The International Women's Day Centenary started on March 8th, 2011, and numerous events took place across Ontario and the world. Read about some of these events here
